Digital printing offers a flexible and efficient solution for a wide range of book production needs, particularly suited to shorter runs, fast turnaround times, and variable quantities.

Using advanced inkjet and toner-based systems, we are able to produce high-quality results with consistent colour, sharp detail, and reliable reproduction across every copy.

Continuous Feed Printing

Continuous feed printing uses roll-fed systems to produce books efficiently at higher volumes. This method allows for consistent output and smooth production flow, making it well suited to longer runs and time-sensitive projects.

It delivers strong colour performance, precise detail, and efficient use of materials, while maintaining high levels of consistency throughout the print run.

Océ ColorStream 3900

This is an advanced inkjet printer that uses the Océ DigiDot drop-on-demand technique, currently the most reliable and fastest inkjet printheads in the industry. We can reproduce colours in great detail thanks to the latest generation pigment inks. Also, it allows us to use less ink while maintaining superb tonal gradation and prevents the generation of a lot of waste material.

  • Up to 540 mm roll width
  • Monochrome and colour print
  • Resolution is 600 dpi but because of the utilisation of the DigiDot technology, 1200 dpi is the observed quality
  • Ability to print several jobs on a roll
  • 127 metres per minute printing speed
TruePress Jet520HD

With Screen's TruePress Jet520HD printing system, we are able to achieve high-quality fast precision colour printing at affordable rates. This advanced printer works with a wide array of standard offset media because the pigment ink is water-based. It is also compatible with self-adhesive and coated paper stocks and ensures ultra-realistic photo quality. It employs the same colour gamut found in traditional inks used for printing.

Summary of features:

  • A maximum resolution of 50m per minute and a 120m per minute printing speed
  • Resolution reaches1200 dpi
  • Real-time inspections when printing using an inbuilt quality control system
  • Use advanced printhead technology and water-based pigment inks ensuring top-quality printouts
  • Capability to print on celluloid stocks (starting from a 520 mm wide roll)
Cut-Sheet Printing

Cut-sheet printing uses individual sheets rather than rolls, offering greater flexibility across paper types, formats, and finishes.

This approach is particularly effective for covers, shorter runs, and projects requiring a wider range of materials, including heavier stocks and textured papers.

It allows for excellent print quality, accurate registration, and compatibility with a broad range of finishing options.

Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1

This high-performance system provides the benefits of a UV inkjet printer and an offset press. The technique used by the Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1 has significantly improved the quality of digital printing, something most systems had failed to. The system uses offset printing's conventional paper-conveying process to ensure accurate sheet registration and excellent quality. It is the first system in history to use this technology.

Summary of features:

  • Applies stochastic screening and 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution ensuring better quality than offset printing
  • Prints on synthetic and textured substrates like polypropylene, high-density stocks, and traditional offset media
  • Colour reproduction quality is excellent because of the use of innovative colour management technology. Colour reproduction is consistent in the first and subsequent prints.
  • Up to B2+ (585 x 750 mm) paper size
  • Up to 1500 sheets/hour (double-sided) or 3000 sheets/hour (single-sided) printing speed
Ricoh Pro C9200

We mainly use the Ricoh Pro C9200 for printing covers of books. The system allows us to provide outstanding print quality even when printing on highly textured substrates due to the utilisation of elastic fusing belts and other substances. Prints generated by the Ricoh Pro C9200 can be coated and laminated (thermal and dry coating) as soon as printing is done, thanks to the chemical toners used. It is best for printing on cardboard and heavy-weight paper.

Summary of features:

  • Prints at dpi 2400×4800
  • Prints on a wide variety of media that are usually used in offset printers such as layered cardboard, coated paper, and bulky media
  • 115 A4 pages/minute printing speed
  • Printing size of up to 330×700 mm (allows printing on covers with flaps)
  • Paper weight is from 53 g/m² - 400 g/m²
